Speaker 1: (00:00) Continue to follow breaking news this morning, where two people are in the hospital right now after a shooting in the parking lot of Six Flags Great America. Speaker 2: (00:07) Now, police are still looking for that shooter or shooters. The suspects involved, CBS2's, Asal Rezaei is live in Gurney where the chaotic scene unfolded last night, just outside of the theme park. Good morning. Asal Rezaei: (00:22) Yeah. Good morning, Ryan, Audrina. The shooting happening here inside of the parking lot of Six Flags Great America. You can see one of the entrances here over my shoulder. You can imagine it became a very hectic night very quickly last night, as those shots were fired, just as the theme park here was closing for the night. Police say this happened around eight o'clock last night; a white sedan driving into the parking lot here as people were standing there and then began shooting into the crowd. The suspects getting back into the car after that shooting, and then speeding away from the scene. Two victims here, a 17 year old boy, and a 19 year old woman were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, we do know a third person declined treatment from emergency crews. Now, police say this was not a random shooting and the suspects targeted the victims. One mother that was inside with her daughter explains to us what she saw as all of this unfolded. Take a listen. Nicole Ellsworth: (01:22) And I sling my daughter in a wagon and all of a sudden, I just heard, it sounded like a firecracker, it was very loud and it was just so many shots, so fast. And everybody kind of just froze for a second. And then it was just chaos after that. Everybody ran back in towards the park. And then a few minutes later, everybody started running towards the exit and they were screaming at people to leave. So we didn't know, did the person come back inside? We had no idea what was going on, it was just chaos. Asal Rezaei: (01:55) Now, in a statement released overnight, Six Flags did thank its team and Gurney police for so quickly responding to the scene here. Right now, there is no indication that the theme park will be closed for the day. Police say this is an active investigation. They have not arrested anybody right now. And they say they continue their search for the shooters this morning, I'm live in Gurney, Asal Rezaei, CBS2 News.
