Speaker 1 (00:00):

… Academy, Chris Abrego.

Chris Abrego (00:03):

Good morning, everyone. Thank you for joining us for the 76th Emmy Award nominations announcement. I know it may seem like we just celebrated the Emmys, because we did, with a special ceremony honoring the 2022-2023 season in January of this year. Now stay with me here because we are here to recognize the exceptional work that aired between June of 2023 and May of 2024, all leading up to television’s biggest night, the 76th Emmy Awards airing live on ABC, September 15th.

(00:36)
I love television and always have, and as chair of the Television Academy, I get a front-row seat to it all. All that television has to offer, stories that connect us, uplift us, challenge us, and of course, always entertain us. Today, I’m honored to celebrate the outstanding work of our extraordinarily talented and hard-working creative community.

(00:57)
This morning’s announcements are a testament to their contributions and highlight the incredible programming that has risen to the top of an exceptional year in TV. Now, I’m happy to introduce two of TV’s brightest stars. Here to announce the 76th Emmy Award nominations from Abbott Elementary and the upcoming film The Fabulous Four, Emmy winner, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and three-time Emmy winner from Inside Out 2 and the upcoming comedy series The Decameron on Netflix, Tony Hale.
