The nominations for the 2024 SAG Awards are in, and Barbenheimer is leading the pack. On the film side Oppenheimer and Barbie led by scoring four nominations each, including nods in the SAG Awards top category of best cast. Joining Oppenheimer and Barbie with best cast nominations are the cast of American Fiction, The Color Purple, and Killers of the Flower Moon. Nominations for outstanding performance by a male actor in a leading role went to Bradley Cooper for Maestro, Coleman Domingo for Rustin, Paul Giamatti for the Holdovers, Cillian Murphy for Oppenheimer, and Jeffrey Wright for American Fiction. Outstanding performance by a female actor in a leading role went to Annette Bening for Nyad, Lily Gladstone for Killers of the Flower Moon, Carey Mulligan for Maestro, Margot Robbie for Barbie, and Emma Stone for Four Things. (00:48) On the TV side, nominations for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series went to The Crown, The Gilded Age, The Last of Us, The Morning Show, and Succession. Meanwhile, ensemble in a comedy series nods were given to Abbott Elementary, Barry, The Bear, Only Murders in the Building, and Ted Lasso. As for outstanding performance by a male actor in a drama series, the nominations went to Brian Cox for Succession, Billy Crudup for The Morning Show, Kieran Culkin for Succession, Matthew McFadden for Succession, and Pedro Pascal for The Last of Us. Meanwhile female actor in a drama series nominations were given to Jennifer Aniston for The Morning Show, Elizabeth Debicki for The Crown, Bella Ramsey for The Last of Us, Carey Russell for The Diplomat, and Sarah Snook for Succession. On the comedy end nominees for outstanding performance by a male actor in a comedy series were Brett Goldstein for Ted Lasso, Bill Hader for Barry, Evan Moss-Bachrach for The Bear, Jason Sudeikis for Ted Lasso, and Jeremy Allen White for The Bear. The nominations were announced on Instagram live on the SAG Awards and Netflix accounts by Kumail Nanjiani and Issa Rae, who is also a two-time SAG Awards nominee as part of the cast of American Fiction and Barbie. The 30th annual SAG Awards will air live on Netflix on February 24th at 5 PM Pacific and 8 PM eastern from LA's Shrine Auditorium.
