Speaker 1: (00:00) Tonight, with breaking news, a fourth set of human remains have been found at Lake Mead today. Good evening, and thank you for joining us at 11:00. I'm Paulina Bucka. The latest discovery at Lake Mead, happening at Swim Beach-as seen right here on this map. National park service rangers responded to the call about the human skeletal remains at around 11:15 AM. Freddy Ramos lives in [inaudible 00:00:23], witnessed as rangers and police worked on the scene. When asked what he thought about yet another set of remains being found at the lake, this is what he had to say. Speaker 2: (00:34) It like freaks me out. We're walking through the mud, and there probably could be one right there. We don't even know. It's a trip. Speaker 1: (00:44) With support from Las Vegas metro's dive team, the remains are now with the Clark County Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death. As the waters continue to recede at Lake Mead, because of extreme drought affecting the states along the Colorado River, skeletal remains are being discovered more frequently. Let's take a look at this map. This is where all the remains have been found. One at Hemenway Harbor, one at Callville Bay, and now two sets of remains found at Swim Beach. Let's take you back to May 1st, that's when a barrel with human remains was first discovered. The victim was identified as a male who died by a gunshot, and was determined to have died back in the 1970s or '80s. Less than a week later, at Callville Bay, these two sisters made their own discovery. Speaker 3: (01:30) Jaw, definitely was the deal breaker. We saw that we were like, "Okay, this is human." Speaker 4: (01:35) The jaw also, I think, had a crown and a filling. Speaker 1: (01:40) Just recently on July 25th, a third set of human remains, found this time at Swim Beach. The corner, not able to make a determination on whether or not the remains are male or female. As of tonight, no new developments in any of these cases.
