Speaker 1 (00:00:02):
You know, I remember being a young woman marching for reproductive rights. Then we had the Roe vs. Wade decision. We thought everything was cool. Damn, it wasn't. And now we're stuck. We have to change this. I see the sign, Make Pregnancy Safe Again. Yes. But what I also love about Kamala's message, she is trying to make our country better for everybody, no matter what zip code you grow up in. Everybody has the opportunity not just to get by, but to get ahead. Yeah. That's the future that Kamala Harris envisions, it's the future I envision, it's the future all of us should envision, and it's what North Carolina and our country deserves.
(00:01:24):
Donald Trump, on the other hand, he's made it clear he's fighting for one person, himself, and JD Vance. Meow. They're both distancing themselves from Project 2025, but we all know that's exactly what they want. It will raise costs on North Carolina families by nearly 4,000 a year while giving their crony billionaire friends and corporations huge tax cuts. No. His agenda would eliminate the Affordable Care Act. How many people do you know who have benefited from that? Yeah, my sister. They want to roll back the progress we've seen with Medicaid expansion. And get this, their agenda would raise the cost of prescription drugs for our seniors. No. Economists have warned. Now, this isn't me saying it. It's the experts. Donald Trump's plans would cost the United States millions of jobs and send us into a recession by the middle of next year.
(00:03:10):
People, that's what at stake. We must use our voices in our votes to decide the kind of future we want for North Carolina by choosing a new way forward with Vice President Harris. Yes. Everyone, if you haven't voted, make sure you make a plan. Find your nearest early voting location and participate in this critical election. You know, every year we say, "This is the most important election of our lifetime," and that's true, but especially this year. Everyone, we need leaders who are going to fight for our community and who just won't accept the status quo but work to improve it. Those leaders are Vice President Harris and Governor Tim Walz. And in six days, we will turn North Carolina blue and send them to the White House. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:04:46):
Please welcome Representative Wiley Nicholl.
MUSIC (00:04:48):
Here I am baby.
(00:05:00):
Signed, sealed, delivered, I'm yours.
Wiley Nicholl (00:05:06):
All right, everybody. Are we fired up?
Speaker 3 (00:05:07):
Yeah.
Wiley Nicholl (00:05:07):
Are we ready to go?
Speaker 3 (00:05:13):
Yeah.
Wiley Nicholl (00:05:13):
One question, are we going to win North Carolina?
Speaker 3 (00:05:16):
Yeah.
Wiley Nicholl (00:05:20):
I'm Wiley Nicholl. It is my honor to represent Raleigh and North Carolina's 13th District in the US House of Representatives. Folks, I feel the same energy that we had back in 2008, when we awarded our electoral college vote to Barack Obama. Look around here. This is what a winning campaign looks like.
(00:05:45):
Folks, it is such an honor to welcome Vice President Kamala Harris back to Raleigh today in the final days of this election. She's here to share her vision for a new way forward, where every American has the opportunity not just to get by, but to get ahead. And in just six days, we'll elect her to serve as our country's 47th president.
(00:06:17):
Folks, North Carolina is fired up, and the stakes of this election couldn't be higher. Donald Trump is running on his extreme Project 2025 agenda.
Speaker 3 (00:06:33):
Boo.
Wiley Nicholl (00:06:37):
Banning abortion, raising costs on North Carolina families by nearly $4,000 a year, and ripping away healthcare from over 1.5 million North Carolinians.
Speaker 3 (00:06:51):
Boo.
Wiley Nicholl (00:06:51):
Folks, Trump's not fighting for you, he's fighting for himself. He is pushing an extreme agenda to gain unprecedented power. Trump has called his political opponents, just like me, the enemies from within, and he's talked about using our military against Americans who are opposed to him. Folks, that's unacceptable.
(00:07:18):
Let me just tell you about the people who know him best. His threats have prompted his own cabinet officials and top advisors, including Defense Secretary Mark Esper, General John Kelly, former White House Chief of Staff, and General Mark Milley, the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, to warn us about the very real danger and the very real threat he poses to our country. Kelly and Milley even called him a fascist.
Speaker 3 (00:07:43):
Fascist, fascist.
Wiley Nicholl (00:07:45):
But folks, we have the power to make sure that Donald Trump never sets foot in the Oval Office ever again. In North Carolina, we get to reject his dark vision for our country and make progress with Vice President Kamala Harris. Folks, many in our state have already done just that through early voting. Can I see a show of hands, who has already early voted?
(00:08:18):
Folks for those who haven't, early voting is open now through Saturday, November 2nd. You can find your local in-person early voting site at iwillvote.com/NC to make sure that you play a part in defending our democracy from Donald Trump and his MAGA allies like Mark Robinson.
(00:08:46):
Folks, I want to end on a note of hope in this election. Just two years ago right here in North Carolina's 13th District, we flipped one of just six out of 435 seats in Congress from red to blue. Because so many of you got out there, knocked on doors, made your voice heard, voted for change, I'm serving as your congressman, though unfortunately, as many of you know, I won't be returning to Congress because of extreme partisan gerrymandering by North Carolina Republicans.
(00:09:18):
Folks, folks, don't boo. Vote. But this fight is far from over. Gerrymandering isn't just about drawing crooked lines. It's an attack on our democracy designed to silence the will of the people. But this election, it's about protecting your voice, your vote, and your future. North Carolina was Trump's narrowest victory in 2020, and now it is our turn to stop him.
(00:09:54):
Folks, folks, in this election, we've got a clear choice. Vice President Harris has always stood up for working families, and she's fighting to lower costs and grow the middle class. But Donald Trump is only fighting for himself and billionaire friends along with MAGA extremist allies like Mark Robinson, who are serving themselves, not you.
Speaker 3 (00:10:16):
We're not going back.
Wiley Nicholl (00:10:17):
We're not going back. Folks, together, together right here in North Carolina, we can elect Vice President Harris and Democrats like Josh Stein and Democrats up and down the ballot. So folks, we got a chance right now to show the world where we stand, because we are not going back.
Speaker 3 (00:10:38):
We're not going back, we're not going back.
Wiley Nicholl (00:10:38):
Going back. We're not going back, we're not going back.
Speaker 3 (00:10:38):
We're not going back, we're not going back, we're not going back, we're not going back, we're not going back, we're not going back, we're not going back.
Wiley Nicholl (00:10:54):
Folks, we are not going back to the chaos and confusion of Donald Trump's presidency. One last question here, are we going to win North Carolina?
Speaker 3 (00:11:00):
Yeah.
Wiley Nicholl (00:11:00):
All right. Thank you, North Carolina. Now let's get out there and win.
Speaker 2 (00:11:00):
Please welcome field organizer Mira Popeley.
MUSIC (00:11:05):
I'm on the edge of glory.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]And I'm hangin' on a moment of truth.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Out on the edge of glory.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]And I'm hangin' on a moment with you.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I'm on the edge.
Mira Popeley (00:11:37):
Hello. Good morning, Raleigh. My name is Mira and I am a field organizer here with the North Carolina Coordinated Campaign. Oh my gosh, this is incredible. It is so exciting to see so many of you here from across the state to welcome to Raleigh, our next president, Vice President Kamala Harris. I'm looking around and I see so many familiar faces, I see so many of our wonderful volunteers. Your work and your passion, your enthusiasm is the backbone of our campaign. Whether you've been here since July, whether you went out canvassing for the first time last week, I want to thank you for your hard work and welcome you to the Harris campaign.
(00:12:29):
Now, this election will be close. There's no denying it. Every single vote will count, but each and every one of you has a power to make a difference. We can do this. This is winnable, but we need your help. I need every single one of you to get out there, to knock on doors, to make phone calls. Go talk to your friends and family, go talk to the barista at your local coffee shop. Get out there and volunteer. Get involved. If Donald Trump is elected in November, his Project 2025 plan will be devastating for North Carolinians like you. He plans to raise taxes by nearly $4,000. He wants to eliminate the Department of Education?
Speaker 3 (00:13:20):
Boo.
Mira Popeley (00:13:24):
He wants to slash FEMA disaster aid, which we have seen the effects of firsthand here in this state, and he wants to rip away our fundamental freedoms and rights. We can't let that happen.
(00:13:38):
Now, we know who he is. He's shown us time and time again that he is someone who looks out for himself and only himself. Our families, our communities, our state and our nation cannot risk another Trump presidency.
(00:13:57):
Now, I am loving the energy here today. If we take all of this momentum, get out, go knock on doors, go phone bank for the next six days, we can deliver Vice President Harris and Governor Walz to the White House.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Now, the way that we do that is to get out and vote. Go talk to your friends, your family, your community, make sure they know how, when, and where to vote. If you are not yet registered, you still have time. North Carolina has one-stop-shop early voting from now until November 2nd, which means that you can go to a polling location near you, register to vote, and cast your ballot in one trip.
(00:14:42):
Now, you may have heard that there have been some changes made to voting laws, particularly here in North Carolina. Let's go over it. So you will now be asked to show a photo ID when you cast your ballot. If you do not have a photo ID when you show up to your nearest polling location, you can request a photo ID exemption and cast your ballot on that same day. If you have any questions about this or if you run into any challenges, please reach out to help. You can go to iwillvote.com/NC to find out more information about voting requirements and find where your nearest polling location is. You can also text our Coordinated Campaign voter assistance hotline at 1-833-VOTE4NC. That is 1-833-868-3462. Now, we have a whole team of staff and volunteers whose entire job it is is to make sure that every single one of you, every member of your community, and every eligible North Carolinian can go out and vote on or by November 5th. So reach out for help.
(00:15:57):
Now, guys, the path to victory runs through North Carolina. We just have to fight for it, because say it with me, when we fight...
Speaker 3 (00:16:09):
We win.
Mira Popeley (00:16:12):
Thank you. Let's go win this.
Speaker 2 (00:16:17):
Please welcome leader Dan Blue.
MUSIC (00:16:19):
Ain't no mountain high enough.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Ain't no valley low enough.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Ain't no river wide enough.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]To keep me from getting to you, babe.
Dan Blue (00:16:37):
Good morning, Raleigh, Wake County, and North Carolina. Look good out there this morning. Everybody feel good?
(00:16:51):
I'm Dan Blue. I'm a senator from Wake County and the Democratic leader in the North Carolina Senate. Folks, I've spent my life here in North Carolina, growing up in the rural fields of Robeson County. I learned at a very young age that the promise of America meant opportunity, opportunity to anyone willing to work and everyone willing to help somebody, and that opportunity ought to be guaranteed for everybody. Now, as a leader, Democratic leader in the North Carolina Senate, I'm reminded every day about how important it is to make that promise real for everyone to ensure that opportunity and fairness aren't just ideals but are guarantees. Serving in the General Assembly, I also know the difference it can make when our state has strong partnerships and partners in the federal government, like Vice President Kamala Harris. For you see, Vice President Harris worked with Governor Roy Cooper and other state leaders here in North Carolina to finally make Medicaid expansion a reality in this state, bringing healthcare coverage to over 600,000 additional North Carolinians.
(00:18:37):
Now that's leadership in action. That is the kind of leadership that prioritizes people's needs and the well-being of every family in this state. Donald Trump and his MAGA allies, like Mark Robinson, on the other hand, aren't fighting for North Carolinians. While Vice President Harris is expanding access, Trump wants to terminate the Affordable Care Act and is offering only concepts of a plan to replace it. Now, that's not leadership either, and those vague promises are not good enough, not for North Carolina and not for the health of our people in North Carolina.
(00:19:25):
Now, I know North Carolina pretty well, and I know that Donald Trump is simply too extreme for North Carolina. How do I know that? Because North Carolina led the way 250 years ago in declaring that it wanted to be a country of, by, and for the people and not having somebody rule it.
(00:19:57):
But as importantly, Donald Trump isn't here to fight for the interest of North Carolina families. He's fighting for himself. We've seen that in him every day for the past eight years, and we're seeing it in real time in our state as Trump spreads misinformation and lies as we try to recover from Hurricane Helene.
(00:20:25):
Now, I say to you, in contrast, Vice President Harris and her team understand that North Carolinians are facing a lot of challenges right now, and we need someone who is going to wake up every morning and put the American people first. Donald Trump has a record built on lies and broken promises. At every level, he has proven himself unfit to lead. But Vice President Kamala Harris is ready to serve on day one, and we can be confident that she will continue to fight to make the American promise real for every family in this state.
(00:21:26):
You've heard it, you've heard it, early voting is happening now until 3:00 PM on Saturday. If you're not registered, you can still go vote and get registered when you go vote in one stop during this early voting period. Your voice is your vote, and it matters now more than it has ever mattered.
(00:21:52):
Today, North Carolina faces profound challenges, and we need leadership that stands with people, not over them. We don't have to settle for leaders who ignore experts, legislate from fear, or choose division over unity. We can choose leaders who listen to experts, lead with compassion, and carry an unshakable faith that America's best days are still ahead.
(00:22:26):
So let's make a plan to vote, vote early, but more importantly now, make sure you bring your friends and convince 10 other people who haven't voted to vote in this election. Let's begin a new day in North Carolina as we move forward. Do you want Kamala Harris to be the President of the United States?
Speaker 3 (00:22:57):
Yeah.
Dan Blue (00:23:02):
Are you willing to work the next 151 hours to ensure that Kamala Harris becomes the President of the United States?
Speaker 3 (00:23:02):
Yeah.
Dan Blue (00:23:14):
Can we win this election?
Speaker 3 (00:23:16):
Yeah.
Dan Blue (00:23:16):
Are you going to give it your all for the next six and a half days?
Speaker 3 (00:23:23):
Yeah.
Dan Blue (00:23:24):
God bless you, God bless Kamala Harris, God bless North Carolina.
Speaker 2 (00:23:32):
Please welcome Attorney General Josh Stein.
Josh Stein (00:24:04):
North Carolina. Good morning, North Carolina. I am Josh Stein, your attorney general and the Democratic nominee to be the next governor of North Carolina. I am thrilled to welcome back Vice President Kamala Harris. Are you all excited to see her?
Speaker 3 (00:24:35):
Yeah.
Josh Stein (00:24:37):
Are you ready to elect a new generation of leadership?
Speaker 3 (00:24:45):
Yeah.
Josh Stein (00:24:45):
Another question. Who here, like me, loves North Carolina? North Carolina is home, home to remarkable natural beauty, from the beaches, to the mountain, and everywhere in between, home to a growing economy, but most importantly, home to exceptional people, folks who look out for each other, who step up in times of crisis, who rebuild and renew, who believe in brighter days and a stronger North Carolina.
(00:25:29):
I'm running for governor because I love our home state, and I believe in its promise that if you work hard, where you come from should never limit how far you can go. To deliver on that promise, we must invest in our people and their futures so that together we build a safer, stronger North Carolina, where the economy continues to grow and works for more people, where our public schools are excellent and our teachers are well-paid, where our neighborhoods are safe and our personal freedoms are protected. And I want to underline one point. As your next governor, I will veto any further restrictions on women's reproductive freedom.
(00:26:43):
Governing is not complicated. Put the people first and then fight for them. That's the job of attorney general. When Kamala Harris was Attorney General of California, she prosecuted transnational drug organizations, keeping her people safe. She took on big banks and delivered billions of dollars in relief to struggling homeowners. I got to work with her on the National Mortgage Settlement and I saw firsthand how she was committed to stopping Wall Street from abusing your street.
(00:27:27):
As your attorney general, I've been fighting for the people of our state and delivering, whether it's... or it's eliminating what had been the largest backlog of untested rape kits in this entire nation, or securing the largest price gouging settlement in state history, or defending Obamacare successfully in the United States Supreme Court, or defending a woman's right to choose, or defending everyone's right to vote. Friends, those freedoms and so much more are on the line this November. The stakes could not be higher and the choice could not be clearer. Two competing visions. Our vision, Kamala Harris's vision, is positive, forward-looking, welcoming. It is about fighting for every person, creating opportunity for every person, tapping the potential of every person so that together we build a better, brighter future for all of us. Donald Trump and Mark Robinson's vision is one of division,
Josh Stein (00:29:00):
... vision, violence and hate. Mark Robinson called public school teachers wicked, gay people filth. He disrespects women saying that they only have abortions because they can't keep their skirts down, saying that women are not called to lead. Are there any women here who are called to lead? Is Vice President Harris called to lead?
(00:29:45):
This summer, from a church pulpit of all places, he yelled, "Some folks need killing." But it's not just what he says, it's what he would do. Slash public school funding, firing 13,000 educators, eliminating early voting and completely banning abortion in North Carolina without any exceptions. He denies that Joe Biden won the 2020 election, he denies the climate crisis that has devastated Western North Carolina. He denies the Holocaust. Friends, we must deny him the governorship of North Carolina because we want to build a better future. We choose hope over hate. We choose competence over chaos. We choose decency over division. Look, when North Carolinians come together, we do amazing things. Working together across the aisle, under Governor Cooper's leadership, last year, we expanded Medicaid in North Carolina. We have cracked down on the deadly scourge of fentanyl. We have created good paying jobs. To keep that path of progress, we must win races up and down the ballot. Folks, elections in North Carolina are always close, but that means that we have power. The power to determine who wins and who loses. And because the path to the presidency runs right through North Carolina, we have the power to shape the future, not only of our home state, but this nation and the world. To possess that power is a privilege and a responsibility.
(00:32:17):
We have six days left to use our power to knock on doors, to post on social media, to talk to friends, family, and neighbors. Who here has already voted? Now it is time to get to work on your friends, your family, to make sure that they too have a plan to vote. Victory is right in front of us. We just have to seize it. Do you all want to win? Will you do the work? As the Vice President tells us, when we work, we win. When we work. We when we vote. And when we win, we will break the supermajority in the General Assembly. We will defeat Mark Robinson and we will put Kamala Harris and Tim Walz into the White House. Let's get to work, let's vote and let's win. Thank you and God bless you all.
ANNOUNCER (00:33:58):
Please welcome Governor Roy Cooper.
Governor Roy Cooper (00:34:27):
Hello, Raleigh. Boy, do we ever need to elect Josh Stein as our next governor. It is great to be with so many friends today. I see so many familiar faces. Thank you for caring about the future of our state and country, and for showing up to do the work to elect the next President of the United States, Kamala Harris.
(00:34:53):
And let's just take just a minute. I know we're still holding our Western North Carolina friends close to our hearts. Helene was the most devastating storm in our state's history, but our work on response and recovery continues every day. And I know that all of North Carolina will be with our brothers and sisters out west for the long haul, so thank you for that.
(00:35:29):
But you know, even Mother Nature doesn't stop this election from marching onward. And out on the campaign trail, Vice President Harris is showing us every single day how we can turn the page on Donald Trump and chart a new way forward. I want a president who wakes up every morning thinking about the American people, not a president who wakes up every morning thinking about himself. Donald Trump is too focused on his own power and his own revenge to care about your life, your cost of living, your freedoms, your futures. But Kamala Harris cares about you. She wants to help you with her to- do list, unlike Donald Trump who keeps an enemies list. She wants to help the middle class, while Donald Trump wants to help his billionaire buddies.
(00:36:43):
Now, look, I have been friends with Kamala for almost 15 years. I know her well. Back when we were state attorneys general together, and ever since I've known her, Kamala Harris has been fighting and winning for everyday people. When the big banks were ripping off homeowners, she took them on. When the drug cartels were poisoning our streets, she stood up to them and worked to put them in jail. She gets the job done for people who need her. And that's good because we have a lot of challenges facing us over the next four years. But I'll tell you what, we have one hell of a fighter ready to take them on. I know that because I know her.
(00:37:44):
Now, there are some people out there, and I'm going to depend on everybody here to help us with this, but there are some people who are still deciding who to vote for. People who love our country and respect our constitution and they don't like things about both candidates. I would ask those people, and this is something you could propose to them, to listen to the ultra-conservative, well-respected leaders who worked with Donald Trump when he was last president. His chief of staff, his military generals, his attorney general, his vice president. They know Donald Trump is a danger to our constitution and to our democracy and should never be president again.
(00:38:48):
And I'll tell you this, even if you don't agree with her on everything, you can always count on Kamala Harris to fight for you to the very end. For families who need better healthcare and affordable place to live, Kamala will fight for you. For parents who want better schools for their kids, for workers worried about a secure retirement for themselves, Kamala will fight for you. For people who believe we must protect women's reproductive freedom, Kamala will fight for you.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]And for our allies, anywhere in the world, wondering if America still has your back, remember this, Kamala will fight for you. And when she fights, we win. I know this, and she's coming in back there in just a minute, I've talked to her, Kamala's ready. The question is, are we? Are we going to stand up and fight for Kamala like she'll stand up and fight for us? Six days left, guys. Six days left. Are we knocking on doors? Are we making phone calls? Are we talking with our neighbors and friends? Are we going to make Kamala Harris the next President of the United States? You bet we are. Let's go get them, North Carolina. Let's go get them. Thank you.
Speaker 4 (00:41:43):
Okay, I see you know that. I like that. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (00:44:04):
Probably 20 to 30 minutes. Probably 20 or 30.
Speaker 6 (00:44:08):
20 Minutes? How long? What did he say?
Speaker 5 (00:46:08):
He said 20 to 30, yeah. I didn't expect that either.
Speaker 6 (00:42:09):
I know, I was [inaudible 00:42:09].
Speaker 5 (00:42:11):

[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Thank you. Oh, this my song, too. Thank you.
Speaker 4 (00:47:29):
Y'all remember this right here? Who remember this? Come on, y'all. Come on. We having a good time out here today? Sing it to me, y'all. Sing it. If you know the words.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Yeah, who remember this song right here? When I feel it in your...
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]When you...
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I don't know why they... They always doing something wrong.
Speaker 9 (00:47:30):
Kind of vibing on the stage. Kind of vibing on the stage.
Speaker 4 (00:52:45):
[inaudible 00:52:45].
Speaker 10 (00:53:38):
[inaudible 00:53:38] a little bit on the lawn. Yeah, a little bit, a little bit.
Music (01:01:18):
You know that your love is my love.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]And my love is your love.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Our love is here to stay.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Yeah, yeah, hey, hoo.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]What you think, ah.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I think I love you, baby.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]What you feel, now.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I feel I need you.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]What you know, ah.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Oh, ah.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]To be real.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]What you think, ah.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I think I love you.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]What you feel, now.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I feel I need you, oh oh.
(01:01:35):
What you know, ah.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]To be real.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]It's got to be real.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]To be real.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]It's got to be real.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]To be real.
Music (01:02:25):
One, two, three, uh.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]My baby don't mess around.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Because she loves me so.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]And this I know for sure.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]But does she really wanna.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]But can't stand to see me walk out the door?
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Don't try to fight the feeling.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Because the thought alone is killing me right now.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Thank God for Mom and Dad.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]For sticking two together.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Because we don't know how.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Hey ya! Hey ya!
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Hey ya! Hey ya!
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Hey ya! Hey ya!
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Hey ya! Hey ya!
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Alright, alright, alright, alright.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Okay, now ladies.
(01:02:25):
Yeah?
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Now, we gon' break this thing down in just a few seconds.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Now, don't have me break this thing down for nothing.
(01:02:26):
Now, I want to see y'all on y'all baddest behavior.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Lend me some sugar, I am your neighbor.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Ah! Here we go.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Shake it, shake, shake it, shake it, shake, shake it. Uh oh.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Shake it, shake, shake it, shake it, shake it. Uh oh.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Shake it like a Polaroid picture. Hey ya!
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Shake it, shake, shake it, shake it, shake, shake it.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Shake it, shake it, shake it, sugar.
Music (01:02:46):
Shake it off, I shake it off.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Because the players gonna play, play, play, play, play.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Baby, I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I shake it off, I shake it off. Hoo-hoo-hoo.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Heartbreakers gonna break, break, break, break, break.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]And the fakers gonna fake, fake, fake, fake, fake.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Baby, I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I shake it off, I shake it off. Hoo-hoo-hoo.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I stay out too late.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Got nothing in my brain.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]That's what people say.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]That's what people say.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I go on too many dates.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]But I can't make them stay.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]At least that's what people say.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]That's what people say.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]But I keep cruising.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Can't stop, won't stop moving.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]It's like I got this music in my mind.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Saying it's gonna be all right.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I never miss a beat.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I'm lightning on my feet.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]And that's what they don't see.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]That's what they don't see.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I'm dancing on my own.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I make the moves up as I go.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]And that's what they don't know.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]That's what they don't know.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]But I keep cruising.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Can't stop, won't stop grooving.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]It's like I got this music in my mind.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Saying it's gonna be all right.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Shake it off, I shake it off.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I shake it off, I shake it off.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I shake it off, I shake it off.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I shake it off, I shake it off. Hoo-hoo-hoo.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]My ex-man brought his new girlfriend.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]She's like, "Oh my God!" but I'm just gonna shake.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]And to the fella over there with the hella good hair.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Won't you come on over, baby? We can shake, shake, shake. Yeah. Yeah, oh, oh.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Shake it off, I shake it off.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I shake it off, I shake it off.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I shake it off, I shake it off.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Shake it off, I shake it off.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I shake it off, I shake it off.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I shake it off, I shake it off.
Music (01:02:48):
Hush now child.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]And don't you cry.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Your folks might understand you.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]By and by.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Just move on up.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Towards your destination.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Though you may find, from time to time.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Complication.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Just move on up.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Just move on up.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Just move on up.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]For peace you will find.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Into the steeple of beautiful people.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Where there's only one kind.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]So hush now, child.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]And don't you cry.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Your folks might understand you.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]By and by.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Just move on up.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Just move on up.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Just move on up.
Music (01:06:01):

(01:06:06):

[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Booty moving weight like she on the block.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Where the drank? I got to know.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Tight jeans, tattoo, because I'm rock and roll.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Half-black, half-white, domino.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Gaining money, Oprah dough.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Yo, I'm running through these hoes like Drano.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I got that devilish flow, Rock and Roll, no halo, we party rock.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Yeah, that's the crew that I'm reppin'.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]On the rise to the top, no Led in our Zeppelin.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Party rock is in the house tonight.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Everybody just have a good time.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]And we gonna make you lose your mind.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Everybody just have a good time.
Music (01:07:03):
You can't touch this.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Break it down!
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Hammer time.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]You can't touch this.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Break it down!
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Hammer time.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Music hits me so hard.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Makes me say " Oh, my Lord.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Thank you for blessing me.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]With a mind to rhyme and two hyped feet."
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]It feels good when you know you're down.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]A super dope homeboy from the Oaktown.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]And I'm known as such.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]And this is a beat, you can't touch.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I told you, homeboy.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]You can't touch this.
(01:16:07):
Yeah, that's how we living and you know.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]You can't touch this.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Look in my eyes, man.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]You can't touch this.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Yo, let me bust the funky lyrics.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]You can't touch this.

Music (01:20:39):
I can't fool myself, I don't want nobody else to ever love me.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]You are my shining star, my guiding light, my love fantasy.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]There's not a minute, hour, day or night that I don't love you.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]You're at the top of my list because I'm always thinking of you.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I still remember in the days when I was scared to touch you.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]How I spent my day dreaming planning how to say I love you.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]You must have known that I had feelings deep enough to swim in.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]That's when you opened up your heart and you told me to come in.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Oh, my love.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]A thousand kisses from you is never too much.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I just don't wanna stop.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Oh, my love.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]A million days in your arms is never too much.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I just don't wanna stop.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Never too much, never too much, never too much.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Woke up today, looked at your picture just to get me started.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I called you up, but you weren't there and I was broken-hearted.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Hung up the phone, can't be too late, the boss is so demanding.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Opened the door up and to my surprise, there you were standing.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Well, who needs to go to work to hustle for another dollar?
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I'd rather be with you because you make my heart scream and holler.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Love is a gamble and I'm so glad that I am winning.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]We've come a long way and yet this is only the beginning.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Oh, my love.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]A thousand kisses from you is never too much.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Never too much, never too much, never too much.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]I just don't wanna stop.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Oh, my love.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]A million days in your arms is never too much.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Never too much, never too much, never too much.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]And I just don't wanna stop.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]Oh, my love.
Music (01:20:40):
[inaudible 01:20:40].
Speaker 11 (01:20:43):
Please welcome Jennifer Bell.
Jennifer Bell (01:21:01):
Wow. Hello North Carolina. This is an amazing crowd. And I'm acutely aware that I'm the only thing standing between you and the star of this show. So I'm going to try to stay brief, although not my strong suit. But my name is Jennifer Bell. I'm a licensed professional engineer and I currently live in Raleigh. Although over the past 20 plus years, I've worked and lived across all parts of North Carolina, from the mountains to the coast. And that doesn't make me unique here. But one thing we may not have a lot in common with is the fact that for those 20 years, up until 2020, I consider myself an outspoken Republican voter. Yes, get it out. I deserve it. I deserve it. That's right. That's right.
(01:22:12):
Today I'm honored to be here and I have a very important message, a special message for some of my other former Republican friends. I know that there are some in the audience. Let's hear it guys. It's a safe space. It's a safe space. Any Haley voters for Harris? All right. Conservatives for Harris? Yes, we're all a family now. But I wish I could speak to those conservative voters, those North Carolinians that are at home right now and maybe haven't quite been able to take the leap. I would invite them to today join me in putting country before party. Let's put our principles before partisanship and stand up to support a leader who has shown Unwavering dedication to bringing our country together. Of course, Vice President Kamala Harris.
(01:23:28):
I still have a few more remarks. Hold on a second. So as a fiscal conservative, I feel like I made an honest mistake in 2016 when I voted for Trump, I had this illusion. It was an illusion that a successful business person might bring efficiency to the government. The flaw in the plan was that he was a failed businessman who really only cares about one thing and that's himself. And his business acumen is pretty much limited to filing bankruptcy and bullying people in court. So there went that plan. And then to add insult to injury, when Trump was in office, his extremism systematically destroyed the Republican Party, in my opinion. That's right. That's right. That's right. And now, today, as if it couldn't get any worse, we have Trump 2024 who is increasingly unhinged, unstable, and his quest to fulfill his promise to become a dictator on day one.
(01:24:52):
And we have him. He's even boldly talking about using the military against fellow Americans. He calls us the enemy from within. If he returns to office now that he has basically either kicked out or people have, yes, that's true, chosen to retire from public service. All the people that were principled, the adults in the room, if he were to get back into office, there would be no guardrails. We know what that would look like. There would be nothing to stop him from enacting that extreme Project 2025.
(01:25:46):
There is hope. There is hope, and you all know what that hope is. A champion has emerged, and that is Vice President Harris. She's shown us she's going to be a president that brings us together, someone who has a to-do list, not an enemy's list. She's also uniquely qualified to advocate for us, for all Americans, Kamala for the people. She's the one that's going to fight for our freedoms, including especially the ability for women to control their own bodies. This is obviously something personal to all women and men in the fact that women's reproductive care, it's a very serious issue. And to me, it's particularly personal. I have struggled with infertility and had a journey over the past 10 years. My partner Greg and I have navigated dozens of IVF procedures,
Jennifer Bell (01:27:00):
There's surgeries, setbacks, failures, things that politicians in D.C. and people authoring Project 2025 could never understand. And in that process, I invested not just a lot of time and a good portion of my savings, but also a lot of emotional hope streams. And in this process, I saw how legislative rules could really impact things unknowingly like IVF and the availability of IVF. When Trump brags, he likes to brag that he is proudly the person responsible for returning Roe and unleashing extreme abortion bans across the country. And if he is the father of IVF, and he is not, I know this because I would've seen him in some of those dozen surgeries. If he would understand that this capricious allowing of MAGA Republicans to insert themselves into these laws is absolutely going to jeopardize not just more lives and increase maternal mortality rates, it could prevent us, Greg and I, from starting the family that we desperately want to have. This is terrifying to me and I'm counting on you, North Carolina, to help make sure this does not happen.
(01:28:54):
We know there's a clear choice in this election. It's obvious even to those people that still may identify as conservatives. If you believe in policy of any kind, you've got to be for Vice President Harris because the other guy doesn't have policy. But she's fighting. She's fighting for a new way forward and it's going to bring us back together. She's going to fight for our freedoms, protect our democracy, grow our economy, and ensure everyone has the chance to succeed. Early voting is going on right now. And if you have an early voted, shame on you. But the polls are open until 7:30. But I would challenge you-
Speaker 12 (01:29:41):
They have until Saturday.
Jennifer Bell (01:29:43):
That's right. You have till Saturday, but do it today. Why not? But I would call on, especially my former conservative friends, it's time to be proud of this choice. So make sure to tell people I'm for Kamala. All right. So she's right back there and she can hear you. Let's show her we're going to be the swing state that puts her over the top. I'm so honored and privileged to have the opportunity to introduce her. And now your next President of the United States, Kamala Harris.
Kamala Harris (01:29:43):
Hello, North Carolina. Hey, everyone. Can we hear it for Jennifer?
Speaker 12 (01:29:43):
Kamala. Kamala. Kamala. Kamala. Kamala.
Kamala Harris (01:31:28):
Raleigh, are we ready to do this? Yeah? Are we ready to vote?
Speaker 12 (01:32:05):
Yeah.
Kamala Harris (01:32:05):
Are we ready to win?
Speaker 12 (01:32:06):
Yeah.
Kamala Harris (01:32:10):
Oh, it's good to be back in North Carolina. Thank you all and all the incredible leaders who are here. Thank you all, everyone, for taking time out of your busy lives to be here this afternoon. I thank you. Thank you. And I want to thank my dear friend, Governor Roy Cooper, Attorney General Josh Stein who will be your next governor, representatives Nickel, Ross, Foushee, and Mayor Baldwin. I thank you all and all the leaders who are here. So Raleigh, early voting, as Jennifer said, has started. Here in Wake County, you can vote early now through Saturday, November 2nd. And we need you to vote early, North Carolina. Because we have just six days left in one of the most consequential elections of our lifetime and we have work to do.
(01:33:29):
But we like hard work. Hard work is good work. Hard work is joyful work. And make no mistake, we will win. We will win. Yes, we will. We will win because when you know what you stand for, you know what to fight for. And we know we have an opportunity in this election to turn the page on a decade of Donald Trump who has been trying to keep us divided and afraid of each other. We know that is who he is. But North Carolina, that is not who we are. That is not who we are. And it is time for a new chapter where we stop with the pointing fingers at each other and instead, let us lock arms with one another knowing we have so much more in common than what separates us. It is time for a new generation of leadership in America. And I am ready with you. I am ready to offer that leadership as the next President of the United States of America. And North Carolina, I've been here many, many times over the years and you know this, I am not afraid of tough fights.
(01:35:22):
For decades as a prosecutor and as the top law enforcement officer of our biggest state, I won fights against big banks that ripped off homeowners, against for-profit colleges that scammed veterans and students, against predators who abused women and children, against cartels that trafficked in guns and drugs and human beings. And if you give me the chance to fight on your behalf as president, there is nothing in the world that will stand in my way. And look, we know who Donald Trump is. This is not someone who is thinking about how to make your life better. This is someone who is unstable, obsessed with revenge, consumed with grievance, and out for unchecked power. In less than 90 days, either he or I will be in the Oval Office. Thank you. Thank you.
(01:36:54):
And here's the thing, there are many big differences between he and I, but I would say a major contrast is this. If he is elected on day one, Donald Trump will walk into that office with an enemies list. When I am elected, I will walk in with a to-do list, full of priorities about what I will get done for you, the American people. And at the top of my list is bringing down your cost of living. That will be my focus every single day as president. I will give a middle-class tax cut to over 100 million Americans, enact the first ever federal ban on price gouging on groceries, and fight to make sure that hard-working Americans can actually afford a place to live. And if you are caring for an elderly parent, my plan will cover the cost of home care under Medicare so that seniors can get the help and care they need to stay in their own homes.
(01:38:21):
And my plan will lower the cost of child care, cut taxes for small businesses, and lower healthcare costs because I believe healthcare should be a right and not just a privilege of those who can afford it. On the other hand, Donald Trump's answer to the financial pressures you face is the same as last time, another trillion dollars in tax cuts for billionaires and big corporations. And this time, he will pay for it with a 20% Trump national sales tax on everyday basic necessities, which will cost the average American family nearly $4,000 more a year. On top of that, you will pay even more if Donald Trump finally gets his way and ends the Affordable Care Act, if he were to win, which would throw millions of Americans off their health insurance and take us back to when insurance companies have the power to deny people with pre-existing conditions. You remember what that was like?
Speaker 12 (01:39:35):
Yeah.
Kamala Harris (01:39:35):
Well, we are not going back. We are not going back.
Speaker 12 (01:39:35):
We're not going back. We're not going back. We're not going back.
Kamala Harris (01:39:35):
We're not going back. We're not going back.
Speaker 12 (01:39:35):
We're not going back. We're not going back. We're not going back.
Kamala Harris (01:39:59):
And we are not going back because ours is a fight for the future. And it is a fight for freedom. Like the fundamental freedom of a woman to be able to make decisions about her own body and not have her government tell her what to do. And we all remember how we got here. Donald Trump hand-selected three members of the United States Supreme Court with the intention that they would undo the protections of Roe v. Wade. They did. And now in America, one in three women lives in a state with a Trump abortion ban, including in North Carolina and every state in the south except Virginia. Think about that. Many with no exceptions, even for rape and incest, which is immoral. And Donald Trump, understand, he's not done. He would ban abortion nationwide. He would restrict access to birth control, put IVF treatments at risk, and force states to monitor women's pregnancies. Just Google Project 2025. Just Google it. Read the plans yourself. And let us agree, one does not have to abandon their faith or deeply held beliefs to agree the government should not be making that decision for you. Not the government.
(01:41:43):
And when Congress passes a bill to restore reproductive freedom, as President of the United States, I will proudly sign it into law. So North Carolina, I am asking for your vote. I'm asking for your vote. And here is my pledge to you. As your president, I pledge to seek common ground and common sense solutions to the challenges you face. I am not looking to score political points. I am looking to make progress. And I pledge to you, I will listen to experts, I will listen to those impacted by the decisions I make, and to people who disagree with me.
Speaker 12 (01:43:21):
Kamala. Kamala. Kamala. Kamala. Kamala. Kamala. Kamala.
Kamala Harris (01:43:21):
And importantly-
Speaker 12 (01:43:21):
Kamala. Kamala. Kamala. Kamala. Kamala.
Kamala Harris (01:43:21):
And Raleigh-
Speaker 12 (01:43:21):
Kamala. Kamala. Kamala. Kamala. Kamala. Kamala. Kamala. Kamala. Kamala.
Kamala Harris (01:43:21):
It's all right. Hey, everybody. Okay. See, this is the thing because we know we're actually fighting for a democracy. And unlike Donald Trump, I don't believe people who disagree with me are the enemy. He wants to put them in jail. I'll give them a seat at the table. And I pledge to be a president for all Americans and to always put country above party and self. So North Carolina, it all comes down to this. We are here together because we love our country. That's why we are here. And when you love something, you fight for it. And I do believe it is one of the highest forms of patriotism to fight for the ideals of our country and to fight to realize the promise of America. And I have always believed in our nation's-
Speaker 12 (01:44:48):
USA.
Kamala Harris (01:44:48):
Yes.
Speaker 12 (01:44:48):
USA.
Kamala Harris (01:44:49):
And like all of us here, I have always believed in our nation's promise because I have lived it. I grew up as a child of the civil rights movement. My parents would take me to marches when I was in a stroller, where people of every walk of life came together to fight for the ideals of freedom and opportunity. I've lived the promise of America. I saw how hard my mother worked to give her daughters the same chances our country gave her. Growing up, I was blessed to have family by blood and family by love who instilled in me the values that have always defined our nation best, values like community, compassion and faith. I've lived the promise of America. And I've spent my life fighting for the people, people who have been hurt and counted out, but never stop believing in our country that anything is possible. I've lived the promise of America.
[NEW_PARAGRAPH]And I see the promise in all of you, in the women who refuse to accept a future without reproductive freedom, in the men who support them, in Republicans who never voted for a Democrat before but put the constitution of the United States before party. I see the promise of America in all the young leaders who are voting for the first time. Let me see you. I love you guys because you are rightly impatient for change. You, young leaders, you've only known the climate crisis and are leading the charge to protect our planet and our future. You, young leaders who grew up with active shooter drills, who are trying to keep our schools safe. You, who have known fewer rights than your mothers and grandmothers, and are standing up to fight for freedom, to make your own decisions about your own bodies.
(01:47:42):
None of this for you, young leaders, is theoretical. This is not theoretical for you. It is not political for you. For our young leaders, this is your lived experience. And I see you. And I see your power. And I am so proud of you. Can we applaud all our first-time voters and young leaders who are here? Let's applaud them. Let's applaud them. See? Our future is bright. I'm telling you. Our future is bright. So North Carolina, we have six days to get this done. And no one can sit on the sidelines. So let's spend the next six days so that when we look back at these six days, we will know we did everything we could. So right now, it's time to go out from here and knock on some doors. Time to text and call some voters. Time to reach out to family and friends and classmates and co-workers and neighbors.
(01:49:04):
And as we do, let us please be intentional about building community. Let us please be intentional about building coalitions. Because through all of that, we strengthen our nation. Because we know and will always remember, the vast majority of us have so much more in common than what separates us. And we are all in this together. So remember, your vote is your voice, and your voice is your power. So North Carolina, I then ask you, are you ready to make your voices heard?
Speaker 12 (01:50:05):
Yeah.
Kamala Harris (01:50:05):
Do we believe in freedom?
Speaker 12 (01:50:05):
Yeah.
Kamala Harris (01:50:07):
Do we believe in opportunity?
Speaker 12 (01:50:09):
Yeah.
Kamala Harris (01:50:11):
Do we believe in the promise of America?
Speaker 12 (01:50:14):
Yeah.
Kamala Harris (01:50:14):
And are we ready to fight for it?
Speaker 12 (01:50:19):
Yeah.
Kamala Harris (01:50:21):
And when we fight, we win.
Speaker 12 (01:50:24):
We win.
Kamala Harris (01:50:25):
God bless you and God bless the United States of America.
