Student: (00:00) So I just had a quick question for you, Congressman Cawthorn. A majority of Republicans believe that President Biden was not lawfully elected. Now, you know that he was, and that he won the 2020 election. So when will you stop lying to your constituents, admit that Donald Trump lost, and end this senseless attack on our democracy? Congressman Cawthorn: (00:20) Well, number one, I completely and whole heartedly disagree with you. I believe the election- Student: (00:28) On the facts you disagree with you? Congressman Cawthorn: (00:30) What was that? Student: (00:31) On the facts that President Biden was lawfully elected? Congressman Cawthorn: (00:34) Absolutely. Well, let me go into it right quick. There was an unconstitutional election- Student: (00:38) Love to hear you propagate the big lie some more. Congressman Cawthorn: (00:41) Let me say [crosstalk 00:00:41] would you like me to explain it? Student: (00:41) Absolutely. Go ahead. Congressman Cawthorn: (00:43) Okay. So as you can all see in article two, section three of the Constitution, the only people who have a right to change electional law in the United States of America are the state legislatures. You saw in six key states, namely Wisconsin, Arizona, as the worst perpetrators, the state... Well, let's see. The state governors and the board of the elections there who actually went around the will of the state legislature and changed election laws on their own. That is unconstitutional. When you have voter drop boxes that are set up in parks. When you can get rid of signature verification and voter identification laws, that is against the laws and it's an unconstitutional thing. Are you against the Constitution? Speaker 3: (01:21) Are you against the Constitution? Student: (01:22) [crosstalk 00:01:22] When you incited the January 6th insurrection, were you against the Constitution? Congressman Cawthorn: (01:27) Hey, I answered your question. You didn't answer mine. Student: (01:28) When you incited the January 6th insurrection, were you against the Constitution? Speaker 4: (01:31) Madam, please sit down. Student: (01:32) What were you for?
